Burning .iso with XP???

Burning .iso with XP???

I need some serious help here. My Mint Box CD-RW drive just went belly up. This means I no longer have the ability on this box to burn an .iso and make it bootable for Mint. My question is, can I use my Windows XP Pro burner to make a bootable CD for a Linux Box?

Yes. There are several programs you can use. I've had good experiences with ImgBurn: http://www.imgburn.com/

I have used this one and is is easy to use and have had no coasters with it.

Is this a great community along with a great distro or what? Did the imgburn thing and it worked great. Thanks. I feared I was going to have trouble getting new releases. Thanks again.

i think it's refered to a cd or dvd which has not been recorded properly, and is therefore useless as a data storage; by implication one of its uses is as a drinks coaster :roll:

Great feedback. Very Nice Forum. I am just starting with LinuxMint coming from Ubuntu missing a lot of Multimedia posibilities.

First making the Disk to install.

I use magiciso to burn iso on windows xp. It works very well.
