i'm running maya13 and there is no "settings" or "disk utility" listed in the app menu.mysoomro wrote:Go to the 'settings' from Application Menu and launch 'Disk Utility'rfd wrote:windows allows this but not linux? how to???
-> It will list all your hard, flash and pen drives.
-> Select the one you want to change label of.
-> Then it will give you an option "Edit Filysystem Label", Go ahead and click it.
And change The label of your Flash drive.
This might slightly differ in your version of Linuxmint.
Well, it's a bit more lengthy process than that of windows, but it's keeps your drives more secure.

What desktop environment do you use?
That's right!caribriz wrote:Disk utility is not installed in Mate by default.
You can install it from the Software Manager - search for gnome-disk-utility
It will then be available from the Menu in "Preferences".
