this package is all you need for all debian-based distros.just install it by double or single-clicking the file and select install.do a quick reboot and your wireless should be up and running.

I also have the same network card, BCM4312.

I have followed your steps in installing the .deb files no problem, however when i enter the terminal code i get the following:

be sure to install the packages first and then run the codes.i did a reinstall and it worked fine me through ubuntu 12.10 and mint 13 kde and mint 14 cinnamon and mate

also,when install the lpphy package it will say error,but,pay no attention to it.it will update itself in your first set of updates.

sorry guys here is an easier way:
download the first and third files in the links at top i have provided
then install the fwcutter then the linux non-free driver
in terminal:
sudo modprobe b43
then reboot
it should work
