howto gnome-do index your home files

Postby vladimirprieto on Tue Jun 24, 2008 9:45 am

this my first post as a new linux mint user :)

after a few minutes of using mint, i realice that gnome-do didn't work as on ubuntu. that is, when typing some of my name files this didn't show up. so just a little searching and i get to the configuration. this is my config:

/home: 1
/home/vladimir: -1

so i index all of it ;)

warning: after this, i notice that gnome-do take more time to start up (obviously). so make a good configuration depending on your hardware.

this may be taken as a suggestion to the initial configuration on gnome-do when creating a new user, in order to get similar performance of gnome-do on ubuntu's version.
