Video tips for newbs; startup applications

Postby skelms on Fri Sep 06, 2013 11:19 pm

I just made a video about how to add programs to automatically launch when your computer starts up. It's simple but it took me awhile to figure this out, hopefully this will help other newbs also.

If this was helpful maybe I will make a few more videos/posts on things I've learned since switching to linux

This is my updated video, using kazam

You should be using a screencasting app like RecordMyDesktop or Kazam for your tutorials.
It would look nicer.

Thanks for the tip. I tried kazam and recordmydesktop but they both had problems whenever I would click on the cinnamon menu with the screenflashing blue.

That's flashing menu thing is odd. Are you using proprietary drivers?
