Ever wanted to make 100 photos smaller for email, zip, or whatever?
Take heart, you DO NOT need to dual boot into Windoz and Photoshop for this. Instead, try this:
Through the Software Manager, make sure you have GIMP installed.
At the command line, enter this:sudo apt-get install gimp-plugin-registry
In Gimp, find the menu Filters/Batch/Batch Process
In the INPUT tab, locate and select as many files as you want
In the RESIZE tab, check ENABLE, and change Xscale and Yscale to 0.2
In the RENAME tab, select how you want to name the new smaller photos and where you want them to be saved.
IN the OUTPUT tab, select the image type you want and hit START
You can use the batch processor to also do greyscale, rotate a bunch of photos, sharpen, etc.
