I have spent some time looking for answers in relation to my email not working correctly with evolution.
all is working fine now, but this is what i have found.
Settin up G-mail in Evolution.
Setup account for SMTP mail and followed through, all went smoothly and the account was created, i could recieve but i could not send at all.
Quite simply after tying to setup again and even a imap acount i could not send.
I then on the properties of my smtp account replaced smtp.gmail.com with smtp.virgin.net, hey presto it worked.
Virgin have a grip on my outbound email mechanism and i dont know why but i will look into this at some stage and come back.
