Hey! For those like me who like some of the features of google chrome but dislike the instabilityof the current linux ports (AKA Chromium), this is for you. First things first, you need to update to firefox 3.5 if you haven't already (the themes won't work in firefox 3). I think you can do this right now in synaptic, but the update didn't wok for me there. I'm sure i did something wrong, but regardless i'll suggest how i did it: with ubuntuzilla. There's a link to the forum on that here:http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=29888&p=173187
. After that, you'll need to download a few add-ons: First, let's get the theme. Go to the firefox themes page, then search Chromifox Extreme. There's a few different color schemes, but I went with the original color for authenticity. Then, head over to the add-on page and install these: Speed Dial. This add-on gives you a similar function to chrome's most visited feature on new tabs. Unfortunately you have to add them yourself, but it will still work in the same way. Then, get CyberSearch. This gives you better in-browser search capabilities like Chrome. My two questions: Is there a way to get rid of the google search bar (you don't really need it with CyberSearch), and can you diasble the awesome bar feature? I don't like it very much.
