Howto: Localize Bea (Linux Mint 2.1 in your own language)

Postby clem on Fri Dec 22, 2006 6:58 am

Hi,

Bea comes in English. If you need to localize it to suit your own language, here is how to do:

- Click System->Administration->Language Support

- If a window pops up, choose "Remind me again"

- Find your language and check the corresponding checkbox.

- Click "Apply" (this will install the support packages for your language).

- Change the "Default Language" to your own language.

- Click OK.

- (optional) Reboot your computer.

I have the problem, that the root-account still uses the default (english) Keyboard-layout and language-scheme!

How can i change this?
