How to : Change remote desktop's default listening port

Was looking for this earlier, thought this might be helpful for some people

1. start gconf-editor
2. Navigate to /desktop/gnome/remote_access
3. Change the value in the alternative_port key to the one you desire
4. tick the check box at the use_alternative_port key
