I like the newer kernel myself, most distributions are going with a 2.6.22 kernel. If you are not interested in system optimization please do not flame my thread, just ignore my post.
I have some tips for Beagle, but have not written down the steps to optimize it yet. My system uses 92.8 mb of RAM at startup. Beagle still has functionality too.
If enough people have interest I will post more tips.
