If you are using iOS6 on that iPad then you have to use another method: viewtopic.php?f=51&t=114904&p=638881#p638881
I have no idea if that workaround works for Mint12.

Im running iOS 5.1.1 and did the coniguration as the link you mentioned above and still have no luck.
Is that anything related with Mint 12? or any problem with un-jailbreak ipad?
What's your suggestion, should i try with Ubuntu 12.04 ?
