AFAIK: This is a Firefox only technique:
Here's how to search forums.linuxmint.com easily
Goto http://forums.linuxmint.com/
In the Search box provided there, right mouse click and select
"Add a Keyword for this Search"
click it.
Dialog box pops up - Name: "Search Linux Mint Forums"
Folder: can be anywhere in your bookmarks.
Keyword: "LM" (but the choice is yours as usual in Linux)
Click Save
To use it, open a new Firefox tab and type LM <search_word>
Enjoy the Minty goodness!

The trouble is that in general the search function on this forum is pretty poor. If I seriously want to search this forum I have to use a google search with something like:
This gives far better results.
I think it was Dr Hu that pointed that one out to me, it really works.

Well, I use several tools as an experienced Linux user.
a Google Custom Search on my iGoogle page is the main one.
Bottom line is I never trust 1 source for an definitive answer.
Unless it's Kendall, tdockery97, oscar799, vralak, richyrich, viking777, or Aging Technogeek coughing up the advice.
