I just thought I would share this in case anyone has interest in the 2.6.24 kernel. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=646755
I installed the newer kernel in Daryna and it works just fine. I had a little trouble removing things from the old kernel but got it sorted out. The original kernel does not have to be removed at all. I removed the original just to clean things up a bit after I finished testing the new one.
I posted this because there seems to be a lot of interest in the CFS enabled kernels. There is nothing wrong with the stock kernel that comes with Daryna at all. This post is for those that like to do a little tinkering with their systems! This method provides a way to get everything needed to try out the kernel, restricted modules, kernel headers, etc.
Happy Holidays!

You could go that route but keep in mind that there are no restricted modules. Newer Ubuntu kernels tend to have similar hardware support. In either case it is no big deal trying out a kernel.
