Huawei E1552 ...I purchased it in Vienna, years ago, the Simm card should be long expired.....but got it to work 2 days ago easily. I am travelling in Austria
Install as per: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1580427
then just start sakis3g in gui mode, connect, it showed the provider as a choice (yess!) in my case, and connected, much to my surprise, since I thought the chip has no more minutes left, as I thought I'd read that all minutes expire after a year.
But here I am connected!
I hope it helps I am using Maya 32bit on a CHEAPO Aspire one laptop ..
