Maya install crashed

Hi,

Just a quicker to tell you that I burnt the official ISO, booted from the DVD and tried to install just like Mint 12.
When the Desktop was ready I launched the installation from the icon and selected the French language.
Soon afer the install generated a black screen with text which mentioned a bug and NULL pointer (exception ?).
I could not read any further because the screen switched to graphic mode again but got completely scrambled. I just had to reset my PC.
Let me know if there is a journal or log file I can submit and how to retrieve it.
