Need help installing Maya over Ubuntu 12.04 with a USB stick

Postby Linux amatööri on Sun Aug 12, 2012 3:22 pm

I recently bought a new laptop, and wasn't satisfied with Windows 7. I installed Ubuntu 12.04 through the windows installer, and now I dual-boot them. I had Linux Mint on my previous laptop, and I wanted to install it over Ubuntu. I downloaded the 32bit Cinnamon .iso file, and I have it on a Usb stick. Could someone please help me install Maya with my 8gb usb stick.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

If you made a Wubi-installation, you have to remove it via windows Programs and Features (Ohjelmat ja toiminnot), and then you can install mint4win.

BTW. Mint4win is delicate, and it requires the right CD or DVD ..

Dual boot using MINT4WIN

Running Mint inside windows

You cannot install OVER your old install, so you'll have to backup all the files you want to keep to somewhere else.
Then delete the existing and then install the new one and copy the files back to your home folder.
