Installing Linux Mint 12 gnome in Windows 7

Postby pirates4fan on Sat May 12, 2012 4:21 pm

I have been trying to install linux mint 12 gnome, in windows 7 64 bit, but I can't. I used to be able to.Should I just use Drive erase pro, and wipe out the hard drive, and then install it?
What about using a guest account in Windows 7? Are there any other was for me to install linux mint 12?

Sorry, but I don't quite follow. Are you using mint4win, the Windows installer you can run to install Linux Mint while you are booted into Windows? If so, is it giving any errors?

Or have you booted from the Linux Mint installation medium and trying to install Linux Mint alongside Windows 7? If that is what you are doing, where is it going wrong?

Note that for mint4win you need to have the CD version, mint4win doesn't work from the DVD version. (http://www.linuxmint.com/download.php)
