I don't know if this belongs here but........
I installed Linux mint a while ago on my windows 7 (dual boot option) and then formatted my drive, I then installed Windows 8 Dev preview and Linux mint again. I then formatted my drive again (all the partitions) now I have windows 7 back but on the windows boot launcher there are 2 unusable Linux mint options. Please help me get rid of these. By the way I'm a bit of a noob so a step by step explanation would be nice.

hi sonicjms, well there's two ways to do this. One way is to edit the windows bootloader - so you'd be better off posting the question on a windows forum. The other way is to put the linux bootloader on the master boot record. That will probe for all existing operating systems and give you a start up screen for which OS you want to use. See this recent post -

I don't have linux anymore so it sounds liike the second option is out of the question, also when I went to msconfig the linux options didn't show up so that may not help either.
