Many DE choices when login on in Lisa KDE, it this ok??

1) A few days ago I have installed many applications using synaptic, now I have various DE choices to log on besides the KDE Plasma like Gnome 2, Gnome 3, Unity, ect... is this normal in KDE Lisa or this happening because the installed packages have installed these desktop Enviroments? and if so, it's safe to leave them installed??

2) I have noticed too that in the Grub menu, instead of the normal black background, now it shows a debian background, it says debian the universal operating system, it shows the debian logo too, maybe the installed packages did this too??? it is safe to leave it like that??
