64 bit installation language packs not downloading?

So I a fairly current release of KDE 12 already installed on my MacBook Pro. I have it booting from a separate partition. It was running prating good , but I thought I give the newest "12" "lisa" ( 64 bit) a try. I successfully downloaded the iso, burnt it and booted into it. During the install configuration I connected wirelessly to my network running at 104/mbs. The install goes fine until it attempts to down load the "language packs." The "process bar" indicates that it is downloading the packages but shows "progress" of examples of "135" hours or changes to 195 hours ... etc..
I also tested the integrity of the DVD and everything checks out fine.

I'm assuming it is has a default mirror it is downloading from , but it is not working on my system.
Are there any reported bugs on this end of the installation ?

Any ideas ?

Yesterday I thought something was wrong with my Mint 11 install (been running fine for over a year).
Updates take forever.
Today I try to install Mint 11 on a friend's laptop and same thing, worse than dialup, way worse.
As usual no explanation or posts on this forum regarding obvious serious server issue.

Yep, I did a search and there is multiple individuals having the same issues and no one on the "mint' side revolving the issue. Seems the default install repositories and mirrors are badly configured. Hope a fix comes soon. I'd really like to test drive the new "12 Lisa".

Sounds like an issue with the Ubuntu servers. I've noticed slow downloads too.
