mint distros

Why so many distros inside mint? 3 gnome distros, 2 kde...

what are the diferences? only desktop?

i was going to try it but just stoped at the download seccion becouse of so many diferent distro inside of a linux distro...

We have one main edition which is gnome and a KDE community edition that may be a main in the future
Then we have light/mini editions for legal reasons and some community editions - a bit confusing perhaps
But a normal user should select either the main or the KDE full versions

I'm downloading the xfce distro so i can try another windows manager...

trying to kick M$ out of my box... M$ office is on the trash bin, windows will be next (hope so)...
