I am new here
I would like to install last version of Linux Mint on my DELL XPS 17 l702x; I added some new components to this laptop: 1 Samsung SSD 830 128GB (then now I have 1 SDD 128GB + 1 HDD 250GB both internals) and 16 GB RAM (Corsair). I tried install Linux Mint with this partitions configuration:- On SSD /;
- On HDD /var, /tmp and swap partition.
After installation without errors, I encountered at boot time the error "Cannot find operating system"; then I tried to use utility "Boot-repair" http://sourceforge.net/p/boot-repair/home/Home/ from USB live Linux OS to restore GRUB but without success. I tried to install Ubuntu and Linux Mint but the error is always the same and now I am here xD.
To install Windows 7 I must pull out my HDD and install Windows on SDD otherwise (with 1 SDD + 1 HDD in laptop) I have same error like in Linux "Cannot find operating system" and at the moment I don't have found a solution to this problem. After Windows installation I can put in again my HDD in Laptop and use it without problem. Have someone an idea how to install Linux without pull out HDD from my laptop?

From BIOS I cannot disable SATA ports then I can only pull out HDD from my laptop before to begin the installation.
