Daryna - fails on initial boot

Postby nickki on Tue Apr 08, 2008 2:50 pm

Hello Guys,

I have recently installed Daryna (gnome edition) on a laptop with ati x1250 graphics card. Everything works just fine - graphics driver is fine, compiz is enabled - all effects can be enabled. However I have this annoying issue - every initial boot attempt fails at the point "Loading manual drivers.." , when I power off and turn back on the laptop it boots without any problem. Nothing suspicious to be found in the logs - at least nothing suspicious for me.. I came up to the idea that there is some setting that disables some module after failed boot attempt. Does anybody have any suggestions ? thanks !

It can be some firmware that plays with you - I have not noticed a "failed boot" switch of some kind

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
