Username & Password required

Hi,

I have just tried 2 different copies of Linux Mint 13 - KDE and Xfce.
The KDE version is from the APC Magazine's October 2012 DVD, and the Xfce copy is from
http://mirror.optus.net/linuxmint/isos/ ... -32bit.iso

Both copies were installed on a 4GB SD card

Both require a username and password, but I cannot find what they are.

Where can I find what they are?
Are these copies not the final release? Why would they be needing username and password?

What method did you use to move the LiveCD.iso to the SD card?

I used UNetbootin.

Sometimes I get a login screen and other times just a message that MDM authentication failed.
The logfiles indicate 'no useable screens found'.

I've made usb live with ubuntu utility

I've downloaded Torrent version and it ask me user and pwd, tried with italian mirror from web page and all is good

Im having the same problem. I used unetbootin to make a Mint 13 xfce usb. It boots to a login screen with user name and password spaces. ???
