Errno 5: Input Ouput error.

Post by gotestra »

ohai.

I've been trying to install Linux Mint onto my laptop's HDD, but it has been failing me every time. The iso that I have is of Linux Mint Cinammon - 64 bit (And yes, my computer does support 64 bit. I've tried 64 bit XP, Windows 7, Ubuntu). The error that I get is: Errno5: Input Output error. It can't be a bad CD because firstly, I can boot into Mint and play around with it, and secondly, I'm installing from a bootable USB :|

Help? I've googled like a hundred times, but none of the results seem relevant.

I'm getting this same problem when I install, I've gone into the grub boot menu, and checked the USB for errors, and none were found. I then tried my RAM, HDD, etc. and they all turned up fine...

I'm using:

AMD A8-3850 APU
Raedon 6670 GPU
GSKILL 8GB 1866 RAM (Used at 1600 w/ lower timings)
