Hi all,
Really struggling to install mint 13 on my iMac 2008
I have a broken dvd drive and an external working drive
I have used disk utility via mac osx to create a new partition and have tried to install either with a disc or with a usb stick made bootable with unetbootin.
No luck
I have installed win 7 and tried to install.
No luck.
Every time I try any install I can either not see lived in mac or cannot reboot into linux install via win 7
I have installed refit and still no joy.
Really want linux as my only os on my old imac.
Can anyone help?
Thanks
Matthew

Re: Installation
hey i'm new and having trouble too. I don't know if this will help any, but it was better than netbootin. http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=96503 I figured it'd be worth a shot.
Re: Installation
You might want to try the Plop Linux boot manager to see if it can find your Live flash drive.
Re: Installation
Thanks,
Problem solved.
Was using a wireless keyboard
After connecting wired one I had no problems.
