Booting in black screen, Linux Mint Maya

Hi,

been using Mint for quite a while on my Amilo M laptop, up until now i used Mint 11, managed to get everything working with a little tweaking..Anyway this release (Maya) is excellent, everything is working out of the box, i was pleasently supprised when after installation i just logged in and had to setup nothing.. Yea.

There is only one situation, it's not a big deal but if there is a solution i would like to apply it.
When my laptop is booting i only get black screen and after some time Mint get's to login screen, is this normal and if not how to fix it?

Ok, i googled quite a bit and got this:

I can see a splash screen nov, but it's still a bit late, but it shows.

Anyway, stupid design decision if u ask me.
