First installation difficulty

Hi everyone,

old time Linux user (Red Hat), I'd like to start using it again and after quite a long time spent on looking on the various possibilities I've chosen Mint. I've downloaded the iso, put it on y usb key (thanks unetbootin) and started the install.

I have on my computer three different hard drives and I want to keep one only for Linux. This is not my primary one since it is already used by windows. The installation process goes well up to the end and I am asked to restart my computer. When done it automatically loads Windows and I don't have the screen selection to choose the system I want to boot with.
I haven't yet tested (because it just jumped in my mind) to boot directly on the the Linux HD (from BIOS option), but even if it works, I'd rather have the grub menu.

Did I miss something ? Can somebody explain me how to get the grub menu instead of instant windows loading ?

Edit : my idea worked, changing the boot sequence allowed me to start Mint, not just have to know to run it straight with grub !

You have choosen the more challenging path for installation.
