Light DM Boot Issue

Hi,

When I recently upgraded Light DM got installed and i had configured it instead of KDM and was facing issues while boot.

Boot process stops at Checking Battery / Laptop-Mode...

I had to sudo kdm to access my desktop (Got to the console by pressing CTRL ALT F1 ) .

Now I have reverted to kdm to avoid the issue. I must admit the LIght DM did look as a good alternative to KDM. Unfortunately was facing the issue.
Any pointers?

I run LM 13 KDE.

First, you have given no indication as to what hardware you are attempting to install LightDM upon. Is it a laptop or a desktop machine?

If it is a desktop, refer to this bug thread: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/824140

It seems to be related to the video driver and session issue rather than a bug with LightDM.

@cwsnyder - I am facing this issue in my Laptop (Dell Inspiron N5110)and thanks much for sharing the link. Will check out if I can get any info to fix the issue.
