Tutorial on Installing Mint 13 on the original Macbook Air?

Does anyone have a reliable tutorial somewhere on how to install Mint 13 on the original Macbook Air?
A friend had Windows installed on her macbook air, but she screwed up her windows, and she doesn't like OSX. Any ideas on how to install Mint 13 on it?
I've looked around the internet. I can't find something definitive. Some tutorials are for older versions of Linux, which I'm not sure if they still work.
