Hi,
I have a desktop with win7x64 installed. I Just installed the mint cinnamon 14.1 from a USB-Flash drive. After resolving some network issues (for some reason I had to disconnect/reconnect my wired modem and then the Linux established connection...but this is another issue:-) )I installed the system. At first I started to install but wasn't sure whether to do a "side by side" installation, so after it finished copying the files, I started the setup again, chose "custom", deleted the "ext4" partition of the space I allocated for the Linux and did the installation again. It finished, restarted but the windows booted again!
So I ran the install again from the usb-fdd and again the installation ran without any issues, but when it restarted, again it booted to windows. What's more strange, I tried to choose "boot from hard drive" from the usb-fdd installation menu, but nothing happens and after a second it gets back to the menu, like the system wasn't installed at all!
What else can I try to do?Should I try to delete the Linux partition and start the setup again, choosing "side by side" this time without regretting (like I did at the first time, see above) and hoping I didn't messed the things too much?
Please help, I'm quite lost:-(
