Failure to connect to X-server/No screens found

I try to boot Linux Mint from a USB and a bunch of code runs and then it says failure to connect to x-server or no screens found.
I have tried the normal way and the compatibility mode way.
I have absolutely no idea about anything program related, I am usually a windows user trying to switch.
I am running slax right now off a USB.
