Mount LUKS disk on boot

Postby ioctlvoid on Tue Jan 29, 2013 5:16 pm

I have a disk separate from my root file system that I want to mount in some directory. So far I've done this by hand whenever the system starts. I'd like this to happen at boot time so that the volume is mounted when the system has finished starting.

Usually I do this with

Code: Select all
cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/sdc1 encrypted

And then a simple mount.

I'd like the system to query me for a password when it boots, prior to starting X.
