Linux Mint 14 x64 on sdb

Postby xeranpro on Sun Feb 03, 2013 12:33 pm

Hi,

Im a new linux user but im having trouble booting into linux after i do a shutdown.

I installed linux on sdb1 and i tried installing the bootloader on both sdb and sdb1 because i want to keep it seperated from my windows drive.

the installation works fine with the bootloader on both sdb and sdb1 untill i do a shutdown.

When i do a shutdown of the system and want to boot it again it gives me a initramfs / busybox error, so i cant get into linux.
However when i do a quick windows boot and reboot then try to boot into linux, it works like it should.
When i boot intro windows, do a shutdown and then try to boot into linux, it doesnt boot again.

This problem drives me mad because i want to learn how to use linux and this kinda demotivates me to do so.

I hope you guys can help me.
