I know which side I believe. I had to go through the crap below about 3 times to get my system working (see Notes section), it is a wonder it didn't brick my laptop completely:

The author of the linlap article is quite right though, when you get it going it is a nice machine. Only trouble is you have no idea if you have to go through the same ridiculous procedure next time you reinstall.
