Have just downloaded Mint 14 (32 bit Cinnamon) and installed it from the DVD OK onto my Win XP laptop and everything just works.
However, when doing the same instal on my Win XP desktop it installs but on re-boot does not see the USB - so no mouse or keyboard to pick which OS to boot to.
It then just coundowns to Win XP and loads that.

go into bios ( press F2 or delete when pc bootsa to go into bios ) and set usb legacy support to enabled.

also anything related to usb keyboard and mouse set to enabled as well.
