If you have trouble installing Mint 13 LTS

I found a solution to the infamous dconf-related critical error that prevents Mint 13 LTS from installing properly:

Unable to create '/root/cache/dconf'; dconf will not work properly.

Here is the solution:

Boot the live CD of Mint 13.

Before you install, open a terminal and type:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get remove ubiquity-slideshow-mint

Now you can install using the icon on the desktop.
