Boot problems (now and then)

Dear,
Every now and then, during start up, my notebook freeses and stops booting.
A 'hard' power down with the power switch and a new start up, helps sometimes.
Sometimes after 3 times executing this procedure, my notebook finaly starts up.
When, in the end, my notebook runs, it runs just fine and without any problem.

please advise

When in Linux, get hold of the latest free boot-repair program and try to solve it like that, if it is not a secure boot problem.

Which boot-repair program are you referring to,can you be more specific.
Then it is easier to find out
My software is updated
