I am attempting to install Linux Mint, because I would like a backup plan when Windows 7 doesn't work and an OS that is easier to type commands on.
I tried to install Linux Mint 14 Cinnamon DE, so I mounted the .iso file to a virtual drive created by DAEMON Tools. I went into Windows Explorer, and opened the mounted Iso's contents, and ran the file as an administrator. I chose 'Install Alongside Windows'. As the program installed itself, it stopped, with an error message. Below is the error message:
