Trying to install Mint 14 XFCE 64bit. Happens in compatibilty mode also, x-server configuration fails trying to load some vmware module with a bus-error.

I am not a linux expert by any means and have no idea what to do here.

(I currently run LMDE and have no such issues, though I did have a similar issue after trying to update to most recent nvidia drivers)

I do not know how to save the xorg log somewhere where I can get access to it outside the livecd shell.
