Newbie Installation Help Needed

Basically, right now I'm using a Ubuntu 11.10 and Windows XP dual boot. I'm interested in switching to Linux Mint, but I have no idea how to get about doing that. Using logic, I've deduced that I should probably get rid of Ubuntu 11.10 first, so that I would be back to only Windows XP. Then I'd just need to download and reconfigure Linux Mint so that I can dual-boot it (I still need my Windows for games haha :) ).

Now, my question(s):

1. How do I go about removing Ubuntu 11.10 from my computer completely, so that I'm back to only Windows XP?
2. Is the Linux Mint istallation simple? I just download and install?
3. How can I configure Linux Mint so that I can dual boot (boot into either Linux Mint or Windows XP)?
4. Is what I want to do even all possible (probably, I'm just starting to increase my knowledge in computers and Linux so!)

I guess that's it for now, thanks in advance to all you Linux fans who would like to help me get started on Mint! :)

The Mint installer will look after that for you. It will give you an option to replace Ubuntu.
2. Is the Linux Mint istallation simple? I just download and install?
It's best to carefully read what's on the screen while setting the install options, but yes, download and install is essentially it.
3. How can I configure Linux Mint so that I can dual boot (boot into either Linux Mint or Windows XP)?
Again, the Mint installer should do that for you. If it doesn't, the forum is here.
4. Is what I want to do even all possible (probably, I'm just starting to increase my knowledge in computers and Linux so!)
Answered. We're all newbs at one point.
