When I 'Suspend' my Linux Mint PC and then turn on again it doesn't ask me for login credentials and it just opens my Desktop directly, which is not safe at all with the room-mate I have.

Y- Thanks,

Hello Yazeed92,

I'm assuming your using cinnamon if not the procedure would be different.
go to Menu>System Tools> System Settings > Brightness and Lock > the last box is require my password when waking from suspend. make sure it has a check mark in it.
