Question about hybrid drive

The laptop I'm about to buy has a hybrid drive (16Gb SSD, 1Tb HDD). If I make two partitions, one 750Gb for Mint and 250Gb for Suse, will both partitions be able to benefit from the 16Gb SSD cache, or doesn't it work like that in linux ?
