I am having a lot of trouble right now. I have recently ran some updates on my computer (cant really tell which ones, I had a lot to run) and ever since, I get a black screen whenever I try to boot into Linux.
Specs :
I am running a NVIDIA GeForce GTS 360M under Mint Nadia (Mint 14).

What I have tried already :
I first had to reinstall GRUB, because of course it wouldnt load up when I pressed Shift. I tried reinstalling it from the terminal, but it resulted in an error saying grub couldnt find the canonical path of aufs, but it had still reinstalled. Although it had reinstalled, I couldnt get it to load the menu, so I tried the beautiful <<Boot-repair>> application, which worked after purging and removing the old GRUB and installing a new one, along with removing the Kernel and installing the Newest version.
Then, I tried the usual (because I have had such a problem before) workaround, including nomodeset to my booting parameters in the GRUB menu. It didnt work.
I am not an expert with the command shells and such, and even less with all these workarounds so any help would be greatly appreciated!
P.S. : Please do not mind the lack of punctuation and apostophies and such, I am running on a LiveCD as of now and my keyboard isnt mapped correctly.
