LinuxMint hanging at welcome screen

Hi,

i installed Linux Mint 14 and after i enter my username and pw i just get to see the Welcome screen. Not Status Bar, no Menu and im not able to click anywhere. ALT+F2 doesn't work.
It worked fine, i just installed all updated via the update manager and rebooted.
