Greetings from Bali.
I'm a Linux newbie and only mildly geekish. Got a problem installing Mint 14.1 Mate, 32bit, on a new Toshiba 510 netbook running Win 7 Ultimate.
I've downloaded the ISO, put it on a flashdrive, and run it to install on C, next to Windows. On the first reboot it welcomes me to Mint in print, no graphics, then stalls and says it has failed to start the X server, no screens found.
The flashdrive download is good: I've run it on an ageing Vista Toshiba laptop and the installation is fine, works well. So how do I fix the netbook?
