How to find out the current core and GNome version?

Postby pstein on Sun Mar 17, 2013 7:56 am

How can I find out (by GUi and by cmdline) which core and which Gnome version I am currently running?

In other words: Exactly which GUI menu do I have to click to get a system info?

You have a choice of two gui's 'System Information' 'System Monitor'. Not hard is it

On the command line the best is inxi

Code: Select all
inxi -F

Tells you almost everything.
