installing boot splash screen for Mint 14

Postby archp2008 on Sun Mar 24, 2013 2:11 pm

When I boot into Mint 14 I get several screens full of text before the OS boots into the GUI. It was not like this after I first installed it. This occurred after installing Ubuntu 12.10 on another partition. I also have used the Grub Customizer which may or may not have caused this. The Ubuntu still loads normally (like the live CD). Is there some way to cover up the text with a splash screen or some other plain colored screen so that Mint looks like the live CD when it boots? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
