Installing over Ubuntu

Postby SilkyJackson on Sun Apr 14, 2013 9:02 pm

I have duel boot windows and ubuntu and want to install MInt over Ubuntu or even a full install. How would I go about this. I have read a few things but I want to make sure I handle the partition point right. This is how my partitions look now..

Partition----File System----Mount Point----Label----Size----Flags

/dev/sda2 ---- ntfs ---- System ---- 1.5 GIB ---- boot, diag
/dev/sda3 ---- ntfs ---- /media ---- T0632 ---- 157.7 GIB
/dev/sda1---- extended ---- 126.2 GIB
/dev/sda5 ---- ext4 ---- / ---- 120.5 GIB
/dev/sda6 ---- linux-swap ---- 4.1 GIB
/dev/sda4 ---- ntfs ---- HDDRECOVERY ---- 13.6 GIB---- 600 MiB Hidden

From what I read its easy to do as long as I dont mess this part up when installing. If someone could help me out with this that would be great.

Thanks

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Never mind the process was easier than I thought it would be.
